EKTA CHAUDHARY

Ekta is a teacher, a gardener and an entrepreneur living in Mumbai.

She started her career as a researcher spending a decade studying Ecology and sustainable farming practices among communities in the Himalayas.

After finishing her Ph.D. from Indian institute of Science IISc, Bengaluru, she took to gardening full-time and started her own venture, Garden U

Ekta, with her massive social media following, is also distinguished as a bestselling author for her book, Garden Up.

2017

Garden Up YouTube started in a tiny hostel room of IISc, Bangalore. Today that 'Garden Up YouTube' has over a million followers.

2018

Ekta finished her PhD and started the company Garden Up online Pvt Ltd.

2019

We launched a second YouTube channel in hindi. It takes the audience behind the scenes of Garden Up, the company. Today it has a community of over 2 lakh followers.

2020

We launched our online store and hands-on, team building workshops for corporates, institutes, and other organisations. We have worked with big brands such as HSBC, Novartis, Softbank Energy, ICICI pru, Asian paints, to a name a few.

2021

Gardening courses and classes were launched on different platforms. Our Skillshare course remains the most watched course on the platform from India.

2022

'Garden Up' book was published with Penguin Random House that became the bestseller in its category in India.

2023

Garden Up plant setup and maintenance services were introduced. Today, we serve some of the largest gated communities and corporate offices in Mumbai.
